Children's books

Mary Gordon, Founder/President, Roots of Empathy, has written and published two children's books, which are available for sale through the Roots of Empathy website, and support the Roots of Empathy organization.

Faces of Tomorrow is a popular board book for parents, babies, and preschool children. The 20-page book contains beautiful full-colour portraits of babies from diverse backgrounds, accompanied by text in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Punjabi, and Chinese). "The words in the book are for parents - they are words of encouragement and admiration," says Gordon.

Daniel's Day is a children's story book for parents and for children 3 to 8 years old.
In Daniel's Day, the introduction to this book gives parents unique insights into the emotional life of a five year old child and the importance of the ebb and flow of relationships in families. A tin mirror at the back of the book invites reflection on feelings from both the adult and child reader in a playful way. It is available in English and French.

All proceeds from the sale of these books are reinvested into the ROE organization to support its Roots of Empathy and Seeds of Empathy programs.
