Mary Gordon Presents at UBS Global Philanthropy Forum 2012
30 November 2012: Mary Gordon spoke about Roots of Empathy yesterday to representatives from more than 250 organizations at the UBS Global Philanthropy Forum 2012 taking place in St. Moritz this week. Started in 2002, the Global Philanthropy Forum aims to build a community of donors and social investors committed to international causes.

Gordon was joined by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for establishing the Grameen Bank, a model for eradicating poverty through microlending. Dr. Yunus spoke on managing economic resources and shared the story of his many social businesses, including the development of Grameen Bank in India.
Mary Gordon currently sits on the International Board of Directors for Ashoka, which recognized Dr. Yunus early on as one of the world’s most successful social entrepreneurs. |
