Mary Gordon Presents 'How to Lead' at Skoll World Forum

With Bill Drayton, CEO and Founder of Ashoka, Gordon twice hosted a workshop to discuss empathy as a critical leadership skill, entitled: Empathy: How to Lead in an ‘Everyone-a-Changemaker™’ World.

Now in its 9th year, the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship aims to accelerate the impact of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs by uniting them with essential partners in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage and large-scale change. Gordon was among several Ashoka Fellows presenting at the event including Bill Drayton, Founder and CEO, Ashoka; Albina Ruiz, Founder and President of Ciudad Saludable; Molly Melching, Founder and CEO of Tostan; Vera Cordeira, Founder and CEO, Associação Saúde Criança, and Madhav Chavan, Co-Founder and CEO, Pratham.  Other notable speakers at the event included Larry Brilliant, President and CEO, Skoll Global Threats Fund; Former UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown; Marc Koska, Founder, The SafePoint Trust, and Hans Rosling, Co-Founder, Gapminder Foundation, and Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post who also recognized Gordon for her seminal work in empathy during her panel session with Larry Brilliant entitled Catastrophic Risk and Threats to the Global Commons.
