Mary Gordon to Participate in Harvard University Symposium on Youth Meanness & Cruelty
February 14, 2012: On February 29th, Mary Gordon will join world renowned experts, researchers, policymakers and foundation representatives at Harvard to discuss the issue of bullying and how to build healthy relationships both online and offline.
This small invitation-only symposium aims to "dig deep into the root causes and issues that give rise to bullying, in order to make more substantial progress in addressing meanness and cruelty toward young people."
The event, presented by the Berkman Center for Internet & Society in partnership with the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the MacArthur Foundation, will host the much anticipated launch of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, which is committed to building “a kinder and braver world.” In addition to Lady Gaga’s attendance, other distinguished guests will include Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra and Jesse Climenko, Professor of Law at Harvard and Director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice. |
