Launched in 2002-2003, Roots of Empathy has reached more than 15,000 children in New Brunswick.
Students welcome their 'Tiny Teacher' into the classroom.

- In New Brunswick, 95% of teachers with Roots of Empathy in their classroom strongly agreed or agreed that, as a result of the program, students showed more proscial behaviour (e.g. sharing, helping, and cooperating) by the end of the school year.
- The Roots of Empathy program is delivered in 88% of the province's English School Districts and 80% of French School Districts.
- The majority of Roots of Empathy Key Point People in New Brunswick are the district leaders of the province's Healthy Learners Program.
- First Nations communities have participated in the Roots of Empathy program, including the Elsipogtog, Esgenoôpetitj, Eel Ground and Metepenagiag First Nations. There were an additional 8 programs in schools in 2011-2012 that had a high population of Aboriginal students.
