Roots of Empathy in Nova Scotia |

Launched in 2003-2004, Roots of Empathy's tiny teachers have reached 11,000 children in Nova Scotia.

"Roots of Empathy can teach the world about how other people feel when being left out and bullied. It also teaches that no one is the same size, shape or colour, and not everybody likes the same thing. I really like this program. I hope you still do the program when I have a kid!"

- In Nova Scotia, 85% of Roots of Empathy students reported understanding how other people feel after completing the program.
- 97% of teachers with the program strongly agreed or agreed that as a result of Roots of Empathy, students have increased their vocabulary of feeling words.
- In 2005, Roots of Empathy was brought a dedicated French curriculum into French and French immersion classrooms in Nova Scotia.
