Launched in 2011-2012, Roots of Empathy's Saskatchewan program was first piloted in Saskatoon.

- With the laying of the green blanket in Saskatchewan, Roots of Empathy programs reached every province in Canada for the first time.
- In upcoming years, there are plans to expand the program to Regina and other cities throughout Saskatchewan.
