Launched in 2010-2011, over 1,200 Irish children have since participated in a Roots of Empathy program.

    92% of participating students reported learning to recognize their own feelings.

  • 77% of teachers with the students in the program strongly agreed or agreed that, 
    as a result of Roots of Empathy, students were less socially/psychologically/emotionally aggressive (e.g., exclusion) by the end of the school year.
